N2  - Ziel der Linkingstudie ist, die Ergebnisse aus dem Mathematiktest für die 5. Jahrgangsstufe des Nationalen Bildungspanels (NEPS) in die Kompetenzstufenmodelle der Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) und der nationalen Ländervergleichsstudie einzuordnen. Voraussetzung hierfür ist u.a. eine hohe Ähnlichkeit der Studien bezüglich der Rahmenkonzeptionen. Die in der Äquivalenzstudie gefundenen Übereinstimmungen bilden die Grundlage für die Verlinkung der Skalen mittels Equipercentile Linking. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Schlussfolgerungen für die Gesamtpopulation stabil eingeschätzt werden, auf individuellem Niveau jedoch vermeiden werden sollten.
N2  - The aim of this linking study is to classify the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS) according to the criterion-based reference frame for the primary level of the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) and the national Assessment Study (NA) in primary school. One requirement for a strong linking is a high conceptual overlap of the frameworks which the results of the comparison between NEPS, TIMSS and NA indicate. Given these overlaps the equipercentile linking method could be applied to link the math scales. The results show that inferences are possible on a population level but should be avoided on an individual level.
